Who to stash or trade for the playoffs/championship?

Postby Popcynical » Tue Nov 16, 2010 5:41 am

So I'm 7-1 in one league (started late), and I've pretty much got the playoffs locked up. All I'm thinking about is the championships. What's a good list of players to trade for that'll do well in weeks 15 and 16?

I think a list like this could help a lot of folks.

So put one together for us... :-)

BTW, do you know who's in first place in the NFC North? :-)

I'll give you a few guys who might be available on waivers. Mike Tolbert plays Denver's weak run DEF again week 17. If Mathews is not playing, Tolbert might be worth a play as an RB2.

James Jones from Green Bay has potential. He is creeping past Donald Driver as WR2 and has Rodgers throwing to him.

Blair White from Indy is the latest of the "insert a receiver here" and let Peyton throw to him guys.

For trades, I'd go for Vincent Jackson, Peyton Hillis (good luck getting Hillis) or LeGarrette Blount from tampa

Not sure if there's a rule against posting links or not but here is an article I read last week that breaks down which running backs have the easiest playoff schedules. It said they didn't include receivers as almost no receivers have an easy match up each week of the fantasy playoffs. It also breaks down the percentage of games backs have gone over their average PPG against the bottom 7 defenses and below their average PPG against the top 7 defenses during the fantasy playoffs over the past few years.

Let me know if you find anything else on this, especially for receivers, because I'm in the same situation.

Hope this helps and is what you were looking for.

If you have playoffs locked up, I'd trade nearly anyone for McFadden and his super easy playoff schedule. It doesn't get much easier than having Denver and Indy come to your house weeks 15 and 16.

For Def I just stashed Dallas.
Hopefully, I make the playoffs because week 15,16 is against Washington and Az.

Branch is still available in some leagues. After watching Brady throw to him on Thanksgiving, I'd put him on the valuable pick up list. You never know when injuries will hit your star players. Good back ups are a big help if you lose a star.
