Trade Vick to boost my RB core?

Postby skercrazy98 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 1:45 am

I have Vick and also Orton. Orton has been decent though I worry about Tebow taking minutes as the season wears on. I have Foster but nothing else at RB (i don't think). I feel I have real solid receivers and also picked up Rice and VJax. Should I make a trade now for a good RB with Vick while his trade value is sky high (and he's injury free)? I worry I'll be screwed relying solely on Foster all season.

I was also thinking I could wait a few weeks and see if Rice or Vjax emerge in which case I could deal a WR then. Any ideas are welcome. thanks! btw, I'm 7-3 but have had favorable matchups. 10-team league.

Starters (Bench)
QB: Vick (Orton)
RB: Foster, Lynch (P. Thomas, Ward)
WR: Andre J, Wayne, M. Williams-TB (Mason, Rice, VJax)
TE: Watson
K: Crosby (Bryant)
Def: Cardinals

Man i'm in the same situation. I have Vick and Eli, and I want to trade Eli, but not many people want him in my league because most people in my league already have good QB's. But I feel like pretty much everyone wants Vick after that game on Sunday. If you really don't have much at RB I think you should try to get a premier RB. Only trade Vick if you can get one of the premier backs (Foster, Gore, CJ, AP).

Yeah if I was stronger at backup QB I'd probably trade him, but I think I'll hold on to him for now.

I think my best bet is to see if Sidney Rice or Vjax pan out, in which case I could trade Johnson or Wayne maybe for a RB. Otherwise I think Vick, Foster, A. Johnson, and Wayne are a pretty solid core. :)

Orton is the #2 QB in my league. I don't see any reason why you couldn't trade him straight up for an elite RB as well.

depends who you get it owuld have to be very elite. think about it vick is putting up RB number and QB numbewrs how can you beat that. 80 yards rushing and a TD plus hes throwing the ball you get the best of both worlds i would only trade if it was very elite liek i said eralier. vick is like a RB2 plus high QB1 it would take alot for me to get rrid of him if i was you.

maybe try and uload orton for a decent RB2 like a lagarette blount his schedule is awesome and hes hot right now

the difference between what vick and orton will do vs what your rb and rb you can receive should be a good difference. people are high on vick. see what you can get for him.

some hlep
