Roddy White v. Ray Rice - WHIR Guarantee

Postby rmarnold5 » Wed Nov 17, 2010 2:18 pm

Non PPR league. RB/WR flex position

Offered Roddy White and LT for Ray Rice and Jahvid Best.

Tempting because of how hot Roddy is but leaves me with not so great RBs. Also ensures I start a WR at the Flex position and we know they can be hit or miss.

Thoughts?

12 Team, Non PPR Redraft, 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE
QB- Cutler, Roethlisberger
RB- Rice, Benson, Best, Bradshaw
WR-Calvin Johnson, Ochocinco, Nicks, M. Williams
TE- A. Hernandez, V. Shiancoe
K-Rackers
DST-Giants

I'd pass. You already have a good cast of WRs and I'm not sure you can afford to deplete your RBs even further. Especially with LT's carries getting cut back.

Thats a tough one,

Looking at your remaining RBs
Benson hasn't done much the last few weeks, Bradshaw is a good start most weeks and as mentioned LT's carries are getting scaled back but he's still a good start at his current level.

Remaining WRs:
Roddy white would become a must start, Calvin Johnson also a must start at the moment, Nicks a top end player who tends to be boom or bust.

I agree more often than not you'd end up with a wr at the flex position, however given the quality of your wrs that isn't a problem.

I personally would jump on this. Jahvid Best is a non-factor hasn't scored more than 8 points since week 2. The loss of Ray Rice is bad, but LT is good and you have sufficient RBs to more than cover the rb slots. The 3 headed monster at wr and flex would make up for that loss in my eyes.

That's a tough one....I thin I'd stick with what you have. Because then you'd be forced to start either LT or Benson, and those guys have been pretty bad as of late. I think I'd rather go forward with Rice and Bradshaw as my RB tandem than LT and Bradshaw. I just think Rice is too valuable to trade away right now, and Best is finally getting healthy. Stick with what you have, but if you decide to take that deal, it's not a bad one either. That's one of the more even trades I've seen on this board. Definitely more difficult than the guy who asked "Should I accept Adrian Peterson for LeSean MCCoy and Moeaki?" lol.

It looks like a fair trade, but I'm not sure how much it improves your team.

Basically it looks like you have to weigh in Rice vs White. So far, I'd probably take White.
