Torn @ RB

Postby dieguez8 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 10:50 am

I need to win this weeks game, and the only question mark I have this week is @ RB

Roster @ RB
Hillis vs JAC
Woodhead @ IND
K. Williams vs TEN
M. Forte vs MIA

I am for sure starting Hillis, but torn whether to start Forte @ MIA or K.Williams @ TEN

Thanks for the help! Leave your links.

I've got the exact same problem and am leaning toward Williams right now.

Pay attention to news today. Yesterday, Torain missed practice and Portis was limited. If that's still the case today, I'd gamble on Williams with Woodhead as a fallback option.

Since you need to win, if you're the underdog, I think you need to take a chance on Williams.

If it's a close matchup or you're favored, just go with the safe play, Forte.

I'd say go with Forte, Williams has a rough matchup against Tennessee's defense this week.

Tennessee isn't a much harder matchup than Miami.

Miami has allowed: 110.2 yards per game, 4.0 yards per carry, 5 TDs
Tennessee has allowed: 103.1 yards per game, 3.9 yards per carry, 4 TDs

I think I'd rather take a chance with a Washington RB than a Chicago RB, given similar matchups, especially since Forte has lost goal line work to Taylor.

I think it's more of a question on whether or not Williams starts, rather than looking at matchups.

Thats under the assumption that Forte and Williams are on the same skill level, which they are not.

I start Forte.

The thing about Williams last week was that Philly played pass defense the whole game almost. He got alot of catches because McNabb didn't have open receivers down field. He had good runs because they were in coverage defenses.

I think Williams is going to be a very good third down back, but I don't see him as a very viable every down back. Also, you cannot trust Shanahan. That guy they signed off the practice squad could easily end up splitting carries if Torrain and Portis don't play.

Start Forte, hes due for a game.
