QB help

Postby jwb2116 » Thu Nov 18, 2010 2:29 pm

I don't have an elite QB so I usually play them week to week, and I need one for week 11, tough choice I think.

Mark Sanchez v. the Texans (32nd pass defense)
Matt Cassel v. the Cardinals (27th pass defense)
Matt Ryan v. the Rams (18th pass defense)

others on the waiver are Kitna, Hill, and Young. I'm not sure about Kitna though as he's been inconsistent. Thanks

I would go Matt Ryan.He does not have the best of match ups but he has been pretty constant and will be so here

Ryan.. I dont trust the Sanchize and as bad as the Cardinals are, KC is a run first team because they dont trust Cassel to make the throws, and they have great backs. Not to mention Ryan is something like 18-1 in domes.

The Rams have only allowed more than 1 passing TD to one QB and that was in week 5, though.

Yes, but they've played SF, Car, TB, SD, DET (3 TD), Sea, Was, Oak, Ari. SD was a bit suprising, but they had pass plays that took it to the goalline and then they ran it in. Other then SD they havent played a good passing offense, and the only elite level WR they've played was Megatron.. see the 3TD week. I'd feel good about starting Ryan.

Stick with the hot hand of Cassel. He's accurate right now, Bowe is actually catching the ball (a plus for NFL WR's), and Arizona's secondary is weak. Ryan is good, but his 18-1 dome record means nothing. You want points. Who cares if the Falcons win?

I'm not sure you can say Cassel has the hot hand, so much of his production last week came because the Chiefs were so far behind they completely abandoned the run, which is the staple of their offense.

The Cardinals are terrible against the run also, so, I'm wouldnt be suprised if Cassel has an average day of around 250, 1 TD, and a pick. I see Ryan going a bit bigger with Roddy White always a TD threat. Its a toss up, but I'd choose Ryan over Cassel
