Washington is ranked 31st against the pass allowing 18 total TD's through the air. Cleavland is tied for 23rd and has allowed 17 Td's through the air...both QB's are playing at home and both teams will be playing to win in order to close the gap between themselves and first place Indianapolis. In all those areas these QB's are fairly equal, so it comes down to who you trust more. Both have shown considerable inconsistency, but they both have weapons in the passing game to lean on and top tier runners. That being the case, this may come down to which team is more successful on the ground, a productive run game means less of a need to throw the ball 30+ times. the Nod then has to go to Garrard. You see Washington is allowing on average 128+ yards on the ground and have given up 6 rushing TDs to Cleavland's 2TDs. With Moss there to take the top off the D this could be all Chris Johnson all day. Based on the matchup I think Cleavland will put Garrard in a spot more frequently to throw the ball and will marginalize their success on the ground meaning more chances to score Via Pass. Another thing to look at is the competitiveness of this game the Jacksonville Defense is ranked 28th overall 21st against the rush. Cleavland has been running the hell out of the ball lately which means that this game could end up being very competitive putting Garrard in a position to have to pass the ball frequently. It's still going to be close between these two guys, but Garrard has the better situation, has been playing hotter as of late and is not coming off a recent injury. I give the nod to Garrard.
