Start Keiland Williams over M. Lynch? WHIR

Postby LMack » Fri Nov 19, 2010 8:20 pm

Hey all. Pretty deep 14 team league. Spread myself thin by trading away some depth to get Ray Rice, and now I'm looking at my flex spot this week. Who should I start?

Keiland Williams, Marshawn Lynch, Justin Forsett, or Brandon Tate?

Standard scoring, non-PPR. It looks like Keiland may be the start this weekend. Both he and Lynch have decently tough matchups. Keiland has been looking good, but Portis may return and steal enough carries to be a bother. The Titans have been pretty stingy against the run, just outside the top 10 in yardage. They have only allowed 4 rushing TDs all year. If the Skins do score a rushing TD though, Williams has to be the most likely to grab it. I doubt Portis would be ready for goal-line work.

Lynch has been looking bad, and Forsett has been looking explosive. The Seahawks backfield just looks like there's too much RBBC for Lynch to be a stud, but he has been getting many goal-line touches. Lynch is a decent shot for a TD, but Forsett may be starting to creep into his scores. The matchup against the Saints is a little better than Keiland's. So who do I play?

For what its worth, the RBs/WRs I'm starting:
RB: CJ, Ray Rice
WR: Roddy White, Greg Jennings

Leave me a link and I'll help you out.

You bring valid points and plus Portis can reinjure himself very easily i would go with WIlliams here as well...i have given up hope on lynch ceiling is way lower imo to Williams plus Forsett scored on a goal line last week which is like the only thing going to Lynch these days...Williams will not likely put up a stinker as well

Hope this helps

Gotta go with K. Williams here.

Even though the matchup is tough, he may excell in receiving yards.

go with Williams... Lynch has totally underperformed in NFL and Williams has everything to play for and nothing to lose at this point

I agree here on Williams. The time share in Seattle is a misery.

I would go with Williams. Like the others have said, the Seattle running back situation is horrible plus I think the Saints will get up big and take the Seattle running game out of the picture. In washington, I dont see Portis coming back and taking over the full workload so Williams will get his chances.

I would go with Benson on this one against the worst run defense in the league.
