I'm in a 12 team league with standard scoring. I'm on a 4 game win streak after having a very unlucky 1-6 start (I've had the most Points Against by a wide margine). I'm only one game out of the playoffs. The league is still pretty much wide open, but in order to stay relevant I've got to keep winning. Would you make the following trade:
I Give: Miles Austin & Fred Jackson I Get: Mike Wallace
My team is as follow: QB: Michael Vick WR: Reggie Wayne WR: Miles Austin WR: Mike Williams TB RB: Frank Gore RB: Maurice Jones-Drew TE: Jacob Tamme BN: Fred Jackson BN: LeGarrett Blount BN: Mike Tolbert BN: Mike Goodson BN: Danny Amendola
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
QB: Ben Roethlisburger WR: Calvin Johnson WR: Dez Bryant WR: Jeremy Maclin, Robert Meachem RB: Darren McFadden, Michael Bush RB: Michael Turner, Daniel Thomas, Ryan Torain TE: Jimmy Graham
This is an awful deal for you. I understand Austin has been performing poorly as of late but he still has a lot more value than Wallace. In addition you're just giving away Fred Jackson who is coming off two great games. I like that you're trying to deal Austin and Jackson together but you could move them for a much better WR than Wallace who is a WR2 at best.
I have very limited options to make a move. If I'm going to make the playoffs I'm going to need consistency out of my WR, and while Austin has been the last 2 weeks I still don't trust him.

It all boils down to wether or not you think you will make the playoffs. Because I can tell you that Fred has a TERRIBLE schedule coming up. When is your trade deadline? I'm guessing soon? As you obviously know, Austin's value couldn't be any lower than what it is. If you can afford to wait a week or so for him to have a big game (or even a TD...) you might be able to get more value.
That being said, I know how hard it is to make trades in fantasy and if you are stuck between a rock and a hard place I don't think its going to have a huge impact on your team.
One thing to consider, if you DO get to the playoffs, Austin has some nice wk 15/16 matchups, and reports are Romo could be back then, thus making him a WR1 again... Hope this helps.
I don't think this trade is great, but not bad. You'll never use Fred Jackson because of your starting RB's, and I think in most weeks you'd start Blount ahead of Jackson anyways. So he is very expendable. And it's not like he has any value for next weeks game against PIT. I think Wallace is a slight upgrade over Austin. Are there any other WR's that you can get. I think with Jackson's value being so high, and Austin having two decent games you may be able to get a better WR. If not go for Wallace, he will bring you consistent numbers at WR.
There really isn't much room for me to negotiate. Most of my friends have the same opinion on Miles as I do, and I'd like to get rid of him a more consistent player.
Realistically going through my league, and talking to several guys the only other two receivers I'd more be able to grab are DeSean Jackson or Jeremy Maclin. I don't really want to invest all of that stock with the Eagles though.
Edit: There is a decent amount of money on the line as well, and for a poor college kid I could definitely use it; 1st: $450, 2nd: $100, 3rd: $50.
