Should I drop an injured Torain for any of these guys?

Postby Hogan » Mon Nov 22, 2010 6:14 pm

Torain hasn't played in a few weeks and according to Yahoo he's unlikely to play week 12. I'm thinking about dropping him to stash someone for the playoffs. We start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, 1 TE, and 1 DST. Below is my roster and who I'm thinking about picking up keeping in mind the playoffs

QB-Orton, Roethlisberger
RB-Foster, Bradshaw, Charles, LT, Forte, Torain
WR-Calvin,Jennings,Austin,Knox
TE-Tamme
K-Folk
DEF-K.C.

Possible pickups
QB-Romo,Kitna,Hill
RB-J. Stewart, Keiland Williams,Clinton Portis
WR-Mike Thomas, Nate Washington, Kenny Britt, Donald Driver, James Jones

You are incredibly stacked at RB so I have no problem dropping Torain here. I have a really good feeling about James Jones the rest of the way, but Nate the Great and Mike Thomas are also good options.

A little help?

I agree Balcatim. You have lots of RB depth and can give up Torrain. (Also, I don't know if he gets more starts than Williams). So, I think you can drop him for a WR to give you more depth there (don't think you want to have to start Knox for your playoffs if there is an injury).

Definitely drop Torain. I was in the same boat you are in, and had to watch as Keiland Willams ate up his production during the Micheal Vick extravaganza.

I'd pick up Jones or Thomas, Jones most likely. He's getting the ball from Aaron Rodgers, who is consistently better than Garrard.
I don't like what the situation in Tennessee has turned into, with a youngin' starting at QB. Otherwise, Kenny Brit would be a good pickup. Wait a week to see what the Rusty kid can do while you pick up Jones this week.
