This is a 12 man league with ppr. I have a playoff spot clinched and hopefully a first round bye.
I was offered the trade my LFitz and Blount for Frank Gore.
My team... Aaron Rodgers Larry Fitz Anquan Boldin Brandon Lloyd Adrian Peterson L Blount Brandon Pettigrew Eagles Josh Scobee
Josh Freeman James Jones Eddie Royal Ryan Torain Pierre Thomas
Now, is this worth it? Is Fitz the right WR to give up? He seems to only be be consistently productive in garbage time now, which has worked out great for the past few weeks. Am I selling high or is the hit I am taking at WR too much for an upgrade from Blount. I am trying to land Mario Manningham on the WW right now, I have the fifth priority, but if that doesn't work will Jones/Royal be enough to cover in the absence of Fitz? To help me decide I looked at each players playoff schedule.
Larry Fitz: Den Car Dal Blount: Wash Det Sea Gore: Sea SD Stl
All three have pretty good schedules weeks 14, 15 and 16. Blount has the best for a RB, but Gore is a better fantasy back with an also good schedule.
I am torn whether I should do this or stand pat. If I can start Peterson/Gore/Rodgers/Lloyd/Boldin, I think that that is a pretty solid championship team along with whoever else I start.
Two things scare me about certain players involved. Blount: He had some goal line carries and was not successful this week where Williams was, TB has been inconsistent with RBs in the past. If Blount for some reason falls of the fantasy map I have Torain and PT to cover for him. Fitz scares me because the obvious lack of quarterback. He has been great the past few weeks, but a lot of that was just garbage points, can I count on him be consistent in the playoffs with his pretty good schedule?
I'd sooner give up Boldin than Larry. Gore is a top 3 back in the NFL. I'd give up Larry even to get him. Blount is semi-replaceable. But if you can get away with Boldin then that's a huge steal. You can only look at your first week of the playoffs. Don't project to the 3rd because you may not get there!
Gore is the most consistent back in the NFL. Double digit points EVERY single week so far.
I think I would do this regardless but if you could do Boldin instead of Fitz I would definitely do this. It's going to a savaging with Gore against Arizona this week. Thanks for the help on mine.

Thanks! drop a link and I WHIR!
Tough one. Manningham will put up similar numbers to Fitz for the next 3 weeks while Nicks and Smith are out. So you definitely won't lose ground in the short term. But once playoffs come around Manningham won't have much value. Bodlin and Lloyd are still pretty good, but I'd be a little worried about Boldin. The guy is extremely inconsistent. I have him in my league, and i'm trying to move him. Last week he put up his 4th game of 3 pts or less. That's more than a third of his games he has put up 3 points or less. And it's not like he is all that stellar on the other weeks. Other than his big performance in week 3, he hasn't had a breakout performance to make up for those 4 dud games. So this definitely weakens your WR corps for your playoffs. But it will be a nice upgrade at RB.
I think if you aren't in playoffs, you do this in a heart beat because Manningham will give you great production for the next 3 weeks. But if you are already in the playoffs, I wouldn't do it. Blount has some great matchups ahead of him, and they seem to like to run the football down in Tampa Bay. And then you will have Fitz to depend on throughout the playoffs.
I'm kinda with you... I still think you pull the trigger on Gore. Especially since he plays SD and STL in weeks 15 and 16. Blount has an easy schedule too but Caddy being there taking touches makes me nervous.
