Go ahead and give me your opinions. I promise that I will respond to yours.
Should I drop both or either Sidney Rice (tough schedule/poor performance, Favre) and/or Vincent Jackson (he has two hurt calves and is out indefinitely)?
Should I drop Ryan Mathews (Tolber has job) to pickup Jonathan Stewart (no passing game)?
I'd rank them in this order for keeping: VJax (Rivers is going nuts & they'll want him in for play-off push), Rice (want to get him ready to be top wr next year?), Matthews & JStew.
my team (we play Q, R, W, 3 flex, TE, K, Def - 5 bench slots) Q: Eli & Cutler W: Rdy White, A. Jeffrey, D. Bess, R. Meachum, J. Nelson, R: I. Redman, M. Leshoure, B. Powell, C. Johnson (sux) T: V Davis K: Gould D: NYG
I also have both VJax and Rice. I'm leaning toward dropping them both at this point. Rice seems rusty, and it doesn't look like he's going to make any kind of impact down the stretch. But, at least he's actually playing now, and has potential, as opposed to VJax. VJax will at least miss the next couple of games, and could be out until playoffs. If there are viable FA/Waiver options (Branch, J.Ford, Obomanu), I would probably drop both. If you had to choose one, I would let the injured VJax go.
I would definitely drop Mathews. Even if he comes back, i don't see him running the show w/Tolbert there. I would look for a better option than JStewart, though. maybe Maurice Morris, Goodson, or of course Westbrook.
I think that right now I would keep Rice, Stewart, Matthews and VJax in that order. Rice is Favres fav. target and should improve with each week of play. JStew will start to carry the load in Carolina, he would be a top 5 rb on most teams. matthews will split carries when healthy with Tolbert and VJax is out a min. of two weeks, then I'm assuming that they will ease him into it, which won't do much of any good at all for fantasy. I guess some of this depends on your roster also. Good luck.
