Transaction Question

I had Arizona's defense starting tonight, but then decided to pickup San Fran's defense as a free agent. I dropped Arizona and picked up San Fran. The transaction went through, but wouldn't be active until Week 13. I still have Arizona's defense active for tonight. Why didn't it work? The game was hours from starting.

There must be some kind of add/drop rule specific to your league that kept you from starting SF.

What he said above - you must have some sort of rule stating that players lock after the first game of the week starts or something like that. The fact that the Cards hadn't started yet probably let you make the move for next week, but it sounds like the rules dictated that you couldn't use the Niners one way or the other
