What kinda luck is that? "the man" goes down last week, in amazing style i might add, continuing to play...and the pressure is all on Detmer to come in and at least make a showing...not only does he show, but he shines !!!
then to dislocate the elbow an a relatively common tackle and go out before you get the sweet victory....
Gotta hurt....
Was very cool to see both teams coming out on the field to give him the congrats on his game
would like to see him again sometime, very exciting to watch

The nature of the injury is in question... Dancemoves.com is reporting that he loosened the elbow in his celebration, using the "Smack Your Own Willy" dance move. That groove will be sweeping across the nation this week. Damn he's one smooth dancer... NOT
I hated to see him go down and hope he can recover and play again real soon. However, ESPN is constantly repeating that it was his non throwing arm. Are they expecting him to play through it or something? Doesn't he need that other wing to make solid throws?
He deserves a gameball with all that pressure on him... he came through big time on the road!
Of course, that is your counter balance, McNabb didn't break his throwing ankle !!!!
He is done, poor guy

Uurrghh, seeing him writhing around like that was scary there for a minute.
What a shame, he was looking like a great plug in for people who lost a QB last week.

Ill tell you guys one thing being a Giants fan i am bred to hate the eagles, but their QBs have shown great poise.
First McNabbs unbelievable game on the broken ankle
Then Detmer coming into the home of one of the best teams with a huge amount of pressure on him and performing absolutely perfectly only to be knocked out of the game with an injury.
Kudos to both QBs of the Eagles
And that means a lot coming from my mouth considering i feel ill just writing it. But being a fan of football I must recognize courage when i see it.
did you have to put up the graphic???
I may only be able to eat the white meat today, will have to stay away from those dark meat JOINTS !!

Yes, it was a good game from Detmer, but I have to state this fact....He constantly threw to the left side of the field against a rookie CB (M. Rumph) Rumph basically just stood there till the ball was thrown..
I can throw for couple TD's against CB play like that.... And although admirable, Detmer is not anywhere close to being a decent NFL QB. I feel his success on MNF is more a credit to the lack of play from Rumph.
