just trying to get an early idea of who my keepers for next year will be....
10 team keeper league (5 keepers/year) 1/2 point per reception; starts 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1rb/wr
Who would you choose to be my 5 keepers for next year?
QB. Matt Ryan, Eli Manning WR. Hakeem Nicks, Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams (TB), Santana Moss, Johnny Knox RB. Arian Foster, Ray Rice, DeAngelo Williams, Felix Jones, LeGarrette Blount, Johnathan Stewart TE. Dustin Keller
Well I think a big deciding factor for your keepers will be what happens in Carolina. If they can get a decent qb, some wr help and DWill leaves as a free agent then that could give you two other starters on top of Foster and Rice. I guess not taking that into account I would say your keepers would be Foster, Rice, Nicks, VJax (again depending on where he ends up), Ryan. Good luck.
For me it's Foster, RIce, Nicks, Jackson and Williams and it's not that close. All the other guys can be thrown back and gotten at either market value, below or let 'em go anyway. No way you keep either of those QBs or Keller, and the guys other than who I mentioned are not worth keeping compared to your top 5

Ryan is ranked 8th in NFL.com so in a ten team league thats kinda low to keep, when you only start 10. Now Williams is ranked 15 and in a league that starts 20-30 WRs depending on the flex spot prob. should be kept. Keep watching games and plan for a new QB next yr who knows you could get Ryan back. Poss choices IMO Big Ben, Freeman, Cassell, Ryan, Eli. Bradford etc. Watch the draft closely see who drafts O-Line and WR etc. Now if I had one of the top 6 Vick, Brady, Rodgers, Rivers, P. Manning or Brees I'd def. keep. Notice Vick, Rodgers and Rivers joined the elite in just the last 2-3 yrs so a new elite QB can be found next yr.
First the Shock, then the Pistons can the Lions be next?
Well maybe next yr.
PS I didn't lose a paper bag challenge but somehow as a Lion's fan it just feels right.
Also I'd think about poss. keeping one of the Carolina backs (or even Blount) instead of 3 WRs you can just start them in your wr/rb flex spot. Most often your better starting 3 RBs over 3 WRs. I think Carolina may let one go this off season if so the one let go (depending where they go) or the one remaining may be golden. Also never hurts to have a extra good RB for byes and injurys. RBs tend to get hurt the most. Good luck!
