1/2 pt PPR league. We start 2QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1FLEX(RB, WR, TE), 1PK, 1DT:

I lost Frank Gore so my roster looks like this now
QB: P. Manning, K. Orton
RB: M. Jones-Drew, D. McFadden, B. Jacobs, J. Addai, M. Bush
WR: Calvin Johnson, G. Jennings, R. Moss, V. Jackson
FLEX: Jacob Tamme

Trade proposal is:
I give up: Calvin Johnson and Kyle Orton
I get: Ray Rice (or Fred Jackson) and M. Colston

Orton is my back-up. I am worried about Megatron's production now that it looks like Shaun Hill may be done for the season with a broken finger. I am not sure when (or if) Addai will be back and Jacobs is still a #2. Am I giving up too much? Would you give him something else?

I would say go for it, you will have 3 quality rb's and still two quality wr's. I know that Colston is a downgrade from Calvin, but Colston combined with Rice is a huge upgrade over Orton and Calvin. The only question is who will be your 2nd qb you will start? Good luck.

Thanks for your insight. Luckily we only start 1 QB so Peyton would be my starter and I'll go grab a back up on waivers for the playoff run...I'm going now to respond to yours...

yep, gotta do this deal. you can roll with rice, mcfadden and mjd AND still have a pair of good WR's.

I think you can do this trade as well. You downgrade WRs by a bit but get a team who is competitive. I like Ray Rice and like the players you are getting. Go with it!
