WR or DST? WHIR

Postby BearsFan65 » Wed Dec 01, 2010 9:32 am

12 team PPR, normal DST scoring plus 1 pt for every 50 return yards. I've clinched a playoff spot (8-4), this week is a position game. My roster:

QB - E Manning, J Cutler
RB - A Peterson, A Foster, T Gerhart
WR - R White, M Austin, M Floyd, M Manningham, S Rice
TE - J Dreessen
DEF - NYJets
K - R Gould

Looking at DST's the rest of the way:

NYJ - @NE, MIA, @ PIT, @ CHI
SDG - OAK, KC, SF, @CIN

I can either drop the NYJ defense for SDG, or can drop a receiver to grab them and play matchups. I feel like the Chargers are too good to leave out there on the wire, but prefer the Jets in the first playoff week. What's the right move here? WHIR, thanks!

The Jets D is too good to drop and risk someone else scooping them up. I would drop Rice and get the Chargers D. That way you can play the matchups with either the Jets or Chargers D. You shouldn't need Rice with the group of WR's you have. Floyd should be fine as long as his hammy holds up. I think the Chargers limited him last week to make certain he didn't have any setbacks with his hammy. With Steve Smith(NYG) out another week & Nicks out at least a few more, Manningham will be the guy for Eli.

thanks for your help

I'd drop Rice and get SD Def.

If you want the luxury and wanna give up the upside potential for Rice, then yeah drop him for it. I think you have the option to do so.
