Waiver Wire QB

Postby Sticky Fingers » Wed Dec 01, 2010 10:42 am

Im in a 14 team league. I lost Kolb & Stafford week 1 and missed out on getting Vick. Since then I have played 7 different waiver wire QBs that had the best matchups. Somehow I am 10-2 and need 1 more win to lock up the best record in my league. Now it looks like Im losing Shaun Hill. So I need to find another QB. Either 1 QB for this week or 1 to hopefully carry me through the playoffs. Like I said before, 14 team league so there isnt much to pick from.

Hasselbeck vs Car, @ SF, Atl, @ TB. best option for rest of season?
Collins vs Jax, Ind, Hou, @ KC. Could be a decent start vs Jax & Hou
Kitna @ Ind, Phil, Wash, @ Arz. Has the best weapons to throw to
Anderson vs STL, Den, @ Car, Dal
Smith @ GB, Sea, @ SD, @ StL
Campbell @ SD @ Jax, Den, Ind
Delhomme, McCoy, Wallace @ Mia, @ Buf, @ Cin, Balt

Using the "win now" approach, I think either Hass or Kitna. If nothing else, you have to expect Indy and Philly to both score points, and Dallas to be throwing more than usual to keep up. I'm on the fence with Collins - CJ2K got seven carries last week, and I don't think they get away from their run game again, ever. The matchups are pretty juicy, though, even if we don't know who he's going to throw to. Good luck!

I'd go Kitna. Has tons of weapons and very favorable matchups.

I think your best bet here is Kitna. He's put up respectable numbers, and with the Cowboys out of the playoff hunt they won't rush Romo back into the lineup.
