Fearing Pitt vs Bal

Postby robotninja » Thu Dec 02, 2010 3:09 pm

So i felt I drafted a pretty good team this year except that I have too many Steelers and Ravens. Flacco, Rice, Mendenhall, and Wallace. Last time these two played it wasnt as big of a deal because Rice was playing terrible so i benched him for Shonn Greene (11 pts instead of 2) Wallace was riding the pine while Big Ben was still suspended. Mendenhall had a good game (19 pts) and Flacco did OK (12 pts). I managed to win on the strength of the Chargers defense that week and my opponent having a terrible week.

Since then I have pretty much been riding all of these guys and I am fearfull of having too many players in one game that could very well be a defense battle with points at a premium.

I have Shonn Green and Toby Gerhart on my bench. If AP is out Gerhart gets a big boost against a bad buffalo team and with Leslie Frazier wanting to run the ball and let his defense do the work. Greene plays @ NE and is obviously the 2nd back behind LT.

Wallace i could bench in favor of Mike Thomas, James Jones, or possibly Austin Collie.

Flacco is a tough because I would have to go to the WW and all that is there is Hasselbeck at home vs Jac, or Henne vs Cle. I'm not sure which matchup is better but Flacco definitly has the toughest one.

*Bonus Question* NYG def vs Was or Seattle Def vs Car?

Go with Flacco, Mendenhall and Wallace. I could see you going with Gerhart instead of Rice maybe, if Peterson sits...

Giants D for sure

Thx for the help

Unfortunately for you, Peterson is almost definitely going to start unless he suffers a major setback. It's not a high ankle sprain so he should be ok to play. I'd start Flacco, Mendenhall, and Wallace as the above poster said.

In terms of defense, a lot of people are going with the 'use-whoever-carolina-is-playing' strategy, but the Browns D only managed 4 fantasy points against them. I doubt the Seahawks will do much better. I'd start the Gmen.

Thanks for the help on mine. I'd go Flacco, Mendenhall, Wallace, and Giants D who should unleash a sackapalooza on McNabb.

I would go with Flacco... that game's going to be a battle, but the Steelers are way better against the RUN than the PASS. There's reason to think this will be a big game for Todd Heap and TJ.

Wallace and Mendenhall are clear starts.

Hard to start a timeshare runner over Rice. If ADP were mangled this week, Gerhart would be the obvious start. As it stands, it's a total coin toss... way more touches for Rice vs way more potential (matchup) for Greene. I don't feel comfortable telling you what to do, but I'd probably start Rice.

Giants D for sure, IMO. There's just too much big play potential there, and Seattle will mainly be seeing runners, not passes, so the chance for interception or pick 6 is much lower.
