Keeper League Question

Postby steelguin87 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 8:02 pm

Ok, I am in a 16 team keeper league, My roster is as follows,

QB Favre
RB's Bradshaw, Jackson, K. Williams, Gerhart
WR's Austin, Boldin, Moss, Royal, Woodhead(FLex)
TE Witten

I can keep one, Austin or Boldin are who i am thinking. But here is what i am thinking i am 10th right now and 8 teams get into the playoffs. Look at that team it will be a miracle if i make the playoffs. So what i could do is get sneaky and grab Gore and Romo off waivers now and have the choice of Austin, Boldin, Gore, or Romo for my keeper. What do you guys think?

Grab gore and keep him. The man is a beast and is one of the few RBs today that runs the show by himself and gets all the carries for his team.

Ya know, I'm a little skeptical about Gore and fragility. Boldin had some good weeks, but I've had him benched lately, and that's even in a league that starts 4 WR's. I think I'd eye Austin as the keeper, without knowing anything about league settings. Gore will probably be the popular answer.

Here are the scoring settings. It isnt a PPR League, so running backs are slightly more valuable. I would think Gore might be my best bet, Spiller is in Buffalo so i dont know what Jackson future is and Bradshaw is an up and comer if the fumbles would go away. This could be all for nothing if there is a lockout anyways.

It's the popular answer, but I think it's also the right answer...I'd go with Gore. Too bad you can't keep more than one!!! Thanks for the help...

Gore is the hands down best keeper option here. No question. When given the chance to keep a top 10 RB in most formats across the board, or a couple of borderline WR1's the choice seems fairly clear to me. Even if it were a PPR, id still keep gore. Guy does it all. And SF cant possibly be WORSE next year can they...? Id keep Gore.

I'd take Gore as well. If someone swipes him before you do Ryan Grant could be another option.

there is Gore, D. Williams, Dallas Clark, Romo, or Ryan Grant. I forgot about Clark but i think like everyone said Gore is the way to go.
