Help Me Trade For a QB!

Postby JRM4833 » Thu Dec 02, 2010 8:41 pm

An owner in my league has Rivers and Vick and has put them on the block, looking for RB/WRs in return. I am solid at WR (although no depth) but have been playing all 4 the last month. My team:

QB: Revolving WW door including Cutler, Hill (before his injury, Sanchez, etc.)
RB: AP, Moreno, Greene, Goodson, Addai
WR: Bowe, Austin, Fitz, Williams (TB)
TE: Gonzo
K: Kaeding
TM: Titans, Browns (waiting to drop one when space needed)

Can I make a deal for either QB work? Which would you prefer and what's a reasonable offer? Other teams current RBs are CJ, Jackson and Best. WRs are Maclin, Harvin, Jones, R. Williams.

Thanks and WHIR.
When in doubt, punt!

I am going to assume a Yahoo lineup with 3WR and 2RB each week. Since you are getting a top tier QB, it will take a top tier player(s) to get either one. I am going to bet that if he had a choice, he'd part with Vick over Rivers (unless he's a Philly homer). The only real trade worthy players on your roster are AP, Moreno, Bowe, & Austin. Is his RB FJax or SJax? If its FJax, lead with Austin/Moreno for Vick/FJax...Most likely he would want Moreno and Austin straight up for Vick. Is JStewart on you WW? He's a good pick up moving forward Goodson. Would you do an AP straight up for one of the two and possibly FJax? Just my thoughts...

My bad. It's Fleaflicker with 2 RB, 3 WR and a flex. Thanks for chiming in. I get the impression the other owner is in love with Vick to his huge weeks. I was thinking I'd prefer Rivers myself but would be happy with either. Kind of tough to lose at RB and WR given that I don't have much depth (ok depth at RB but only mediocre talent aside from AP and maybe Moreno being a rung or two down). I like the idea that you suggested and will float it out in conversation (work league). Stewart is unfortunately already taken so that hurts. I just dropped Hill to pick up Gerhart just in case.

Thanks for replying to mine. Is this a PPR? What about bonus points for QB rushing?

I like Rivers over Vick, especially now in the season.

What about Rivers and Jackson for Cutler and AP?

You are getting possibly the best QB in fantasy for a decent one. So you give up a a top 5 RB for Fred Jackson who has single-handedly turned the Bills around from chumps to pretty good chumps. Jackson also catches passes, so if you are PPR, that's huge. Jackson has a good matchup in WK 16 also, if that's your fantasy bowl. I believe NE is giving up almost 100yds per game and is near the bottome (at least in my league).

I too would rather Rivers over Vick. and the above proposal looks reasonable
