Okay guys... the bye is on the line. After a successful season, a poorly timed slump (a couple middle of the pack scoring wins and one loss) and a week 13 matchup against a monster team leaves me scrambling. I don't need a win. I need to stay within 13 points of my opponent. It's an interesting situation, for me at least.
I started LeSean McCoy on Thursday night, and I will start Michael Turner, of course. I need my 3rd RB.
So here it is:
B. Jacobs vs WAS J. Stewart vs SEA Benson vs NOS Blount vs ATL K.Williams vs NYG
I think your choice comes down to Jacobs, Stewart, and Benson. Jacobs and Stewart could easily have approximately the same stat line. That being said, Stewart is the better of the two backs in Carolina, so he may be leaned on more this week especially since the Panthers can't throw. Jacobs...I dunno, as you said in my thread, Bradshaw will get lots of work. That leaves Benson. He does poorly against good rush defenses, but worse than that is the Saints will likely get ahead and prevent the Bengals from being able to run much. If it was me and I had to pull the trigger, I'd probably say Stewart is the safest play, then Jacobs, then Benson. If you are in a "don't HAVE to win" situation, you could always swing for the fences and put Blount in there, but I think Stewart or Jacobs will get you 8pts no problem. Anything more is gravy.
and Stewart is playing against Seattle, thats definitely a positive for him. Kansas City lit them up last week on the ground and Stew looked good in limited action last week behind Goodson. Jacobs is probably a safer play though imo
I say its between Jacobs and Stewart. My gut says Jacobs but after reading other reasons I say Stewart because he probably will get more carries. Either way it will get you 8-10 pts.
I'm actually thinking Benson is your safest play. Jacobs has a good matchup, but Bradshaw could be the one to take advantage. Stewart is in essentially the same boat, with Goodson a sure bet to cut into his workload. New Orleans isn't terrific against the run, even if they are the worst matchup here. I'd probably play Cedric. Thanks for your help with mine.

Wow this is a tough one. All those are great RB3 options, but there isn't a clear cut favorite. Jacobs has a great matchup against a bad defense, but I'm not sure how the carries will be divided up between him and Bradshaw. I think Bradshaw goes back to getting the most carries. But Jacobs will still be the goal line guy which matters most. JStewart has a nice matchup but he is splitting with Goodson. And if Carolina falls behind (which they probably will), then they have to abandon the run. Benson may be your best option. He is the lead back, and gets all the carries. I'd go with Ced Benson here. He is a safe play. He will get the ball 20 times and will always have a chance to score a TD.
