PLAYOFFS! Ward/Mason/Ford at WR WHIR

Postby Rob035 » Sat Dec 04, 2010 8:32 pm

Hey it's the first round of playoffs in my PPR and return yardage league.

Who should I start as my third WR?

Hines Ward (Pit) @ Bal
Derrick Mason (Bal) vs Pit
Jacoby Ford (Oak) @ SD

The league scoring is 1 pt per 10 yds, 6 pts TD, 1 PPR, and 1 pt per 25 ret yards.

I am also starting Seahawks D over Pittsburgh. Good move or do you think I should reconsider?

I like Hines Ward here. Ben just loves throwing it to him. I'm in a similiar boat with the defense, and I'm benching the Jets def for the Seahawks.

VERY tough decision. Ward is a great target for Big Ben. Catches a ton of balls, but seems like wallace gets more TD's and how much will ben's injury affect his play?
D. Mason has been scoring and scoring I like him too and J. Ford against SD is a tough matchup, BUT he does get you return yards and SD st is weak.

It's between Ward and Mason, either one of them!
Sea D good call, hope that helps

Thanks for the help. That makes it even more difficult since I was leaning towards Ford. With the return yards and huge play potential, he's an interesting start.

Anybody else have an opinion?

The return yardage complicates things a bit, but I'd go with Mason this week....

Thanks for the help. I'd go with Mason. He's been the main target and getting good points lately. I just read this morning that over his last 7 games vs. Pit, Mason's averaged 79 yds. and a td.

Seattle's D isn't a bad call, but they have a lot of injuries on D which could hurt even with as bad as Carolina is. I thought about the same move, picking up Seattle and playing them but am sticking with Pit. Even though they cost me a game and a shot at the division a few weeks ago when they put up that 0.

Thanks for the help. I think I'm on board with Mason too, though Ford runs a close second. Mason has long been a PPR monster, and he's firmly back as the #1 receiver there (if anyone could explain to me how Boldin just disappeared after week 5....?). Seattle defense for me as well. Good luck!

I would start Ward b/c Ben is fine and he will be ripping the secondary apart and I would also play Seattle D

Thx for the help man

I will not go into detail but you better have Mason in your starting lineup today, that is if you want to get 15+ points from a wideout.

Good luck!
