Purposely Throwing Games for Playoffs?

I was wondering what you guys feel about that. I am in the 5th seed right now and even best case scenario, I play the same guy. With that said, if I beat my opponent this week then he drops down to 3rd seed and there is a new 1st seed (divisions). I looked at the potential match up between the current 1st seed and potential new 1st seed and I'd rather face the current 1st seed. I am losing and we both have a player left. Do you think it's wrong to do such a thing?
