I'm in the playoffs, quarter final game this weekend. I've got Hills against Buffalo as a lock, but I'm torn between Peterson vs NYG or Foster vs BAL. Any thoughts?
I'm in the same boat with having to choose 2 RB out of Petersen, Foster, Ivory and Jarvus-Green Ellis. The Giants and Ravens have good defenses making it that much tougher. I would never suggest benching a healthy Petersen under any circumstance, but its tough to dismiss Foster also. Hillis should do well against Buffalo, so he's a start. I would sway towards starting Petersen at home, where the Vikings have given Eli and the Giants a hard time in recent years. Another theory is to start your home players playing in prime time (Foster at home Monday) the good players like to shine when the national lights come on, but Baltimore doesn't give up a lot on the ground so stick with Petersen.
Tough call, but I'd go with AP. Can't shy away from a guy who has been getting it done for a few years in comparison to a guy who has had one good season. And Baltimore's run defense is much better than the Giants in my opinion.
You'll get no dissent from me. Adrian Peterson is probably the only guy I'd never, ever, EVER bench. Unless he's injured and can't move.
The Vikes get Harvin back this week, so the passing game is going to keep NYG honest defensively. Even if Peterson doesn't net 100 yards, he's a great bet for a TD again.
Of course, people might say the same thing in support of Arian Foster…
