Honestly, I haven't been pessimistic about being accepted at all. It's just when I was looking at it realistically, I had my doubts. I mean the competition is crazy, and I've talked to several people who have been waiting to get in somewhere for 2 or more years. In fact I talked to this girl in my ceramics last week (who is really cute by the way), she said this is her 3rd year waiting to hear back from local schools, and her GPA isn't much lower than mine.
Really I think the fact that I have a penis helped big time.

That reminds me of something funny. I was asking my anatomy and physiology professor how people generally on the final 3rd section of the class, he said people usually do pretty well. I asked what the term covered, and he said it's basically the respiratory system, the digestive system, and the reproductive system. I said, "breathing, eating, and sex huh? That's three things I'm really good at.....well at least two things anyway." Haha.

You still targeting working in the ER? You must have a stronger stomach than I do, I couldn't handle seeing the things that happen in there. That's why I work in IT.
ER or OR probably. Yeah blood and guts doesn't really bother me at all. It's weird though, if it's my own blood it kinda freaks me out. And I can really handle needles on myself, but sticking others doesn't bother me one bit.

there are three times in my life that I've seen 'extreme gore' AFA brains coming out of a head/hugely traumatized torso/dead then underwater corpse, and I can see them each vividly in my mind. No way i'd put myself in a position to see more of that.
but I guess we're kinda opposites; my own blood doesn't bother me at all. I've sliced meself up many a time and shrugged it off.
