Week 14 Flex Play - JStew, Ocho, Best, Nicks, Jackson

Postby hwrayner » Wed Dec 08, 2010 1:06 pm

Hey guys, looking for opinions on who to start at flex. 1pt PPR league. I am starting Rice at HOU, Blount at WSH, Maclin at DAL, Austin vs PHI. Both VJax and Nicks look to be out again. So my flex options are Best vs GB, Ocho vs PIT, and JStew vs ATL. Who would you start?

Thanks, leave your topic link, I will offer my opinion.

UPDATED 12/10: Added Nicks and Jackson to the Subject line. Nicks at MIN and Jackson vs KC.

Oye. Tough one. I guess the best bet will be Ocho.

Stewart probably won't fair well against the Falcons, and Best... isn't playing his best.

Thanks DC. I'm wondering how the weather is going to affect the games in PIT and CAR. Starks GB and Ford OAK are the top prospects out in FA. Either of them worth a pickup and start this week?

Definitely. Starks has an AMAZING match up... and Jacoby Ford has major upside. You could do worse.

Gotta get Nicks and/or Jackson in there now they appear to be playing right?

Thanks for the help on mine.

I'd be leery of Nicks until I knew he was for sure good to go. So at this point I think I'd play ocho.

Nicks if he plays then the rest are a crap shoot Best has been unpredictable. Ocho is a big game player usually thought cin has turned ugly and your risk vs reward may not be as high as Nicks and Best. JStew vs a strong Atlanta D not to mention Carolina is very much one demensional. Best Would be my second choice.

I would abolutely play Nicks if he plays...If not I would go Jonathan Stewart simply bc he is guaranteed an opportunity....Ocho hasn't scored a TD against the Steelers since 2003, if I'm remembering correctly.

Nicks has been ruled out.. soooo... as crazy as it sounds, you might have to go with Vincent Jackson.. a high risk high reward move...I have the same problem.. I have Ocho and Jackson and I am benching Ocho.. vs Pitt? In snowy weather? No thanks. Best is not even an option. the safest option may be Stewart.. But I don't expect standout numbers from him... I'm a gambler so I'll take Jackson.

Don't know where you got that information, but Nicks is likely to play. The game, however, has been moved to Monday night due to travel complications. That means that if Nicks suffers a late set back, you are SOL. I'm going to stick with him in my line-up through Sunday and if I end up getting screwed over I'll just pick up Derek Hagan and pray.
