Tight End Help, Week 14. Not the best of choices.

Postby Seahawk » Wed Dec 08, 2010 7:26 pm

I've got a bit of a delilhma at the tight end position. I'm wanting to take a risk so keep in mind i'm looking more in terms of boom or bust just need to choose a tight end that has a very good upside with potential. What would you consider to be my top three plays in order with consideration that I'm not looking for safe points in the sense of a solid 4-6 but more in the tune of a Goose Egg or 10 plus points. All or nothing so to speak. Thanks in advance for any insight and comments.

Here's my choices as of right now.

Espn standard scoring h2h Non PPR

Anthony Fasano, Mia - @NYJ Sun 4:15 ranked 21st vs TE
Jeremy Shockey, NO - StL Sun 4:05 ranked 7th vs TE
Brent Celek, Phi - @Dal Sun 8:20 16th (I own Maclin)
Cameron Morrah, Sea - @SF Sun 4:05 ranked 2nd vs TE
Visanthe Shiancoe, Min - NYG Sun 1:00 ranked 3rd vs TE (On the wire so might not get him)
Jermaine Gresham, Cin - @Pit Sun 1:00 ranked 17th vs TE
Jimmy Graham, NO - StL Sun 4:05 ranked 7th vs TE
Billy Bajema, StL - @NO Sun 4:05 ranked 15th vs TE
Daniel Fells, StL @NO Sun 4:05 ranked 15th vs TE
David Johnson, Pit - Cin Sun 1:00 ranked 12th vs TE(I own Wallace)
Zach Miller, Jac - Oak Sun 1:00 ranked 20th vs TE
Ed Dickson, Bal - @Hou Mon 8:30 ranked 32nd vs TE (I own Flacco also a bit of a risk as Heap might or might not play Monday Night)

I might say Gresham, believe it or not, but the weather may be suspect in Pgh. There have been a lot more plays designed for Celek recently. Just keep an eye on whether WInston Justice is playing. If he's out, Celek may be used more as a blocker.

Go with Celek. Vick has been actually looking his way a lot lately. He plays in the best passing offense out of all those guys you listed. If not him, perhaps Schiancoe because Rice will start dictating coverage which should open him up. Shockey isn't a bad choice either. In that offense, he will always have a chance at a TD. But I'd rank them: Celek, then Shiancoe, then Shockey.

I like Celek, Fasano, and Gresham.

Vick seems to be looking for Celek more recently and he is getting red zone looks too.

Thanks for looking at mine ;-D

Celek is a good option but I night like Shockey more here. That guy could get 2 tds in that offense.

Celek or graham. If you need to role the dice, go Graham. I'm starting him this week just cause the rest of my team is injured. If you wanna be save go Celek. He's Vick's checkdown.
