Starks or Forte? WHIR

Postby SmokyMcNasty » Fri Dec 10, 2010 1:43 am

No PPR. Pick one:

- Matt Forte vs Patriots
- James Starks vs Lions

Other notes
- Patriots D is ranked 22nd when it comes to giving up points to opposing RB's. Lions D is ranked 27th. So both defenses can be run on.....
- Forte shares carries almost 50/50 with Chester Taylor with Taylor sometimes vulturing his TD's.
- Starks shares with Brandon Jackson. Starks got 18 carries compared to Brandon Jackson's 4 carries last week. And John Kuhn got 6 carries, including the goal line carries and the lone rushing TD for the Packers.
- Forte will be playing at home, in possible snowy conditions. Starks will be on the road in Detroit in a dome.

So who do you start?
QB - Drew Brees, Tony Romo
RB - Adrian Peterson, Trent Richardson, Alfred Morris, Jacquizz Rodgers
WR - Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, Vincent Jackson, Anquan Boldin, Golden Tate
TE - Heath Miller
DEF - Rotating
K - Justin Tucker

I'd go with the guy with more of a track record this year - Forte. And Forte's been getting much better than a 50/50 share of the carries (more like 2:1).

I believe in the Playoffs track record is pretty meaningless. However Forte has big play ability and the Pats DEF isnt the same Pats DEF of the early 2000s... I would go Forte but I think it's closer than everybody else is saying.

Plz help me back... viewtopic.php?f=19&t=487756

Another vote for Forte. now is not the time to mess around with an unproven starks.

Help with mine:

10 rushing yards - 1 pt
10 receiving yards - 1 pt
20 passing yards - 1 pt
All TDs - 6 pts (QBs favored)
