FLEX: Fred Jackson or Malcolm Floyd? WHIR!

Postby Hags888 » Sun Dec 12, 2010 12:02 pm

I'm in a standard 10-team ESPN league. Our playoffs start next week, so this is a must-win for my team. If I lose, I'm out of the playoffs. If I win, I at least have a chance depending on other outcomes. Who would you start in the flex spot?

Fred Jackson vs CLE (weather could be a factor in Buf)
Malcolm Floyd vs OAK

I'm leaning towards Jackson, because the matchup isn't terrible and with the weather, they may end up running it a ton. That said, with Malcolm Floyd finally getting healthy, he could be in for a big day. Leave a link, and I'll help in return. Here is the rest of my team:

QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB1: Michael Turner
RB2: Darren McFadden
FLEX: Jackson or Floyd
WR1: Dwayne Bowe
WR2: DeSean Jackson
TE: Chris Cooley
D/ST: TB or CHI
K: Janikowski
Bench: Matt Ryan, Michael Bush, Brian Westbrook, Santana Moss, Braylon Edwards

Roles of Gates and V Jax are ambiguous. Go with Freddie.

Jackson's production is just too good to pass on right now.

Good luck

I think Jackson is the more sure pick of the two. This one may depend on your opponent. If you have him outmatched, I would definitely go with Jackson. 10-12 sure points are upset insurance.

Floyd has the feel of an all-or-nothing guy this week. So, if your opponent has one of the better teams in the league, you might want gamble on a big game from Floyd.

All-in-all, I would start Jackson.
