Ok so I got a log jam at WR. Near the end of the season I became really deep at WR due to waivers and guys starting to play well. I need to choose 2 out of these 6 guys.
Nicks vs Philadelphia Maclin @ NYG Sidney Rice vs Chicago Boldin vs Saints Garcon vs Jaguars VJax vs SF
I think Nicks is a must play. From there, the last spot is really between Maclin, Garcon, and Rice. I'm leaning towards Garcon just because Manning looks his way a lot with Wayne getting double covered. Maclin has been somewhat invisible the past few weeks. And Rice is a stud who can go off at anytime, but I don't know how much I trust him with Tavaris or Favre.
I also have a dilemma at DST. Here's the situation. I have the Chargers DST who play SF, at the same time I have Vernon Davis who plays the Chargers. Obviously, I want Vernon to score, but if he scores that takes points off my DST. And for my DST to do well, it probably means that Vernon doesn't fine the endzone. So what do I do with this situation, because SD seems like a great DST this week. I can also play:
Miami DST vs Buffalo Arizona DST @ Carolina Carolina DST vs Arizona Baltimore DST vs Saints
Help me out here, leave a link and I'll help back as soon as possible.
I agree that Nicks is a must start. For your second I'm torn between Boldin and Garcon. Boldin because he always seems to show up vs. the better teams, but as you said is the most inconsistent thing on the planet right now, and Garcon worries me because of Wayne, Tamme and White/Collie to take away looks. That being said, I'd probably go with Garcon just because it's Manning and it's against one of the worst pass defenses in the league in Jacksonville. MJD will shred them on the ground and Indy will have to score points to keep up, so that means a lot of catches for Garcon and White/Collie if Jax decides to double Wayne.
As far as defenses go I'd go with Miami and not look back. Def the most solid option available. If you want the home-run (defensive TDs) you can gamble with AZ, but their run defense stinks and Goodson and J Stew are starting to heat up.
Thanks. Yeah I completely agree with your assessment of Boldin. He shows up when they play the good teams. Why? Because good teams make Baltimore play from behind or in a close game, which means Flacco must throw. When Baltimore plays bad teams, they go up by 2 TD's and run the ball the entire 2nd half. Just like what they did last night. Baltimore's offensive play caller makes me so mad. Most conservative play caller ever.
And as for DST, I think I'll go with Miami. Although I think SD has a good game, but no way can I bear watching that Thursday Night Game, while I root for Vernon Davis, but at the same time want SD DST to do well. That would be like being a republican and a democrat!
Nicks for sure. second choice is Boldin narrowly over Garcon. I thinl NO will be able to put up some points so Balty will have to pass. Garcon could be a good play as well. Im debating similar defenses but im leaning towards carolina vs ariz, because its at home and they have a decent pass rush.
I agree, Nicks is a must play. The second slot should be Garcon. Maclin under performs, Rice's QB (Favre or otherwise) is terrible, Boldin is like Houdini - some weeks he just disappears and VJax is still unproven, though he would be my choice behind Garcon.
