Eli or Ryan in the playoffs?

Postby dblj9911 » Thu Dec 16, 2010 11:06 am

Who do I start Eli or Ryan, I should have a nice advantage with Rodgers being out and his next best qb is Sanchez. 6pts all tds, -1 for int, 1pt per 20 yards passing

Eli vs Philly- they have lost several defensive starters, Samuel has missed several games but did go through the practice on Wed, Eli leads the league with 19ints, they have given up 26 passing td's, he has lost S. Smith for the year, they have been running more lately, Nicks is back, Manningham is banged up, he had 2td's and 3int's last game

Ryan @ Seattle- there passing def is ranked 30th in the league and given up 23 passing td's this year, will Atl get a lead and then just run, run run like they did last week against Carolina? Will traveling to the west coast affect them? Have playoff spot pretty well locked up, but still need to win and stay ahead of NO.

I think you go Ryan just because I have Turner and Nicks so it would just make sense that Ryan throws for all the scores and Manning doesn't. Just kidding.

I see snow in the fcst for NYG so keep an eye on the weather. I would lean toward Ryan but its close.

Bill Swerski: That's right. Da question is: Now, did God create Da Bears, and make them superior to all teams? Or is he simply a huge fan, and Ditka made them superior to all other teams?

W/o weather as a factor, go with Eli, although it's close.

Thanks for mine but I'm going to contradict the advise and say Ryan. Seattle has fallen apart Defensively and Ryan is really shining right now. Eli is a pick machine weather it be from tipped balls or bad throws. He has let me down recently and I'm worried that the nefound emphasis on the run game will carry over this week as well.

No brainer to start Ryan. Seattle Def is awful, just ask Alex Smith and the FORTY NINERS.

Eli faces a banged up Eagles DEF but the problem is Asante should be back (3 turnovers alone on Eli earlier in the year)...

Thanks for the help with mine

The only reason for hesitation is that Ryan is playing at Qwest Stadium. It is tough on every QB no matter how good. That said, he is still the obvious choice here. He and his team know how to win and with such a well balanced attack, he will likely pick apart the Seattle Defense.

RYAN FOR SURE

Yeah Ryan is really the best bet / safest bet. Manning's WR are a little banged up and he faces a far superior opponent, and while he always has a high ceiling, he also has the much lower floor in this choice.

Thanks for help.

If the wind in the new Meadowlands Stadium is above 5mph, then Ryan is an obvious choice (sarcasm). All kidding aside, I would check the weather reports. I live in NY and it doesn't look like we will see any significant snow but check the wind. Eli does not have the arm strength to cut his ball throw any significant wind and usually has at least 2 to 3 picks in windy conditions. All that said, I would still go with Ryan against the terrible Seahawk defense.

Thanks for mine.
