The last three weeks could not have been any worse for me football wise. The night of our trade deadline I made the move Fitzgerald and Blountt for Frank Gore, and it all crumbles from there. Here is my team. (PPR league)
QB - Aaron Rodgers, Josh Freeman, Joe Webb RB - Adrian Peterson, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, Tim Hightower, and Toby Gerhart WR - Brandon Lloyd, Anquan Boldin, James Jones, Blair White, Arrelious Benn, Joe Webb (also WR eligable) TE - Brandon Pettigre D/ST - Atlanta Falcons K - Neil Rackers
All year I have been dealing with major injuries, Finley, Pierre Thomas, Frank Gore, now Aaron Rodgers when I need him most, and a stumbling AP. I pulled off a second place finish however which saved me from a first round elimination with a bye and I do not want to see it all go to waste. I have several questions on whom to start.
QB - I think I will start Rodgers if he plays. Freeman has been great, but the Packers will be desperate to win this one and will need to air it out if they have a chance. It is high risk, high reward here, but correct me if I am wrong.
WR - I start three and I am almost positive that Lloyd and Boldin will have two of those spots. They have both been stumble lately but I really do not have better options. For the third spot however, Who do I start between Blair White, James Jones, Arrelious Benn, and Joe Webb. I am leaning towards Joe Webb. He should be starting at QB for Minnesota and that will give him chances to score in a variety of different ways. I think that he has the best shot to out produce any of the other three.
RB - AP and...? I am thinking BGE, but then Hightower had his massive breakout game. He is also playing CAR. The Packers were not very good against the run against Detroit, but then again they are extremely stingy with points. If BGE doesn't score a TD, he will only get yards, he never catches any passes. Is Hightower a better option here?
Thanks so much for helping a desperate Packers fan out, drop a link and I WHIR.
QB - I think you have it right. I don't think Rodgers will play though, in which case Freeman isn't a bad 2nd choice. WR - Boldin. yes. Lloyd. yikes, but it might be your only option. White might not even play....the Webb situation is pretty interesting too, but "interesting, might mean disasterous. I would go Boldin, Benn, and Jones. RB - I would definately run with Hightower against CAR...

QB is there anyway you can pick up Kitna off waivers? WR Lloyd, Boldin and White if collie does not play. RB BGE and Hightower
QB: Start Josh Freeman with confidence. He's done nothing but put up double digit fantasy points in every game but one. He's mister consistency.
RB: I'd start AP and the Law-Firm. Green Bay is going nowhere with Matt Flynn at QB, meaning their defense will be on the field the whole game. NE is going to steam-roll them, and I see them using a lot of BenJarvus. Hightower did great last week and has the best matchup of the bunch, but I'd still feel more comfortable with AP and Green-Ellis. If anything, the discussion is between Hightower vs AP. Do you trust Joe Webb to keep the MN offense rolling? I sure don't. That means AP's chances aren't as good as CHI will load the box.
WR: Starting Joe Webb is a sneaky good call. Look at how terrible T-Jack was in the last 2 weeks. At least he averaged 6.5 points. I would think Joe Webb could do at least that good, and if you can get at least that or more out of your FLEX, I'd say do it! After that, you have to start Boldin and Lloyd, even though they have been in a slump. They are your "studs" such as it is. Blair White won't see much action with Collie likely back, and James Jones is never guaranteed action unless Driver is sidelined (and he isn't), and then there is the whole Matt Flynn is at QB thing. Personally, I read Benn's last week as a fluke because Mike Williams was hurting. He's probable this week.
That's my take on everything. So, all said and done, this would be how I'd start your line-up:
QB: Josh Freeman RB1: Adrian Peterson RB2: BenJarvus Green-Ellis FLEX: Joe Webb WR1: Brandon Lloyd WR2: Anquan Boldin TE: Brandon Pettigrew D/ST: ATL K: Neil Rackers
If you wanted to swap out Joe Webb for Tim Hightower in the flex, I'd feel comfortable with that as well. Best of luck!
