WR Woes (WHIR)

Postby ampant » Sat Dec 18, 2010 4:22 pm

1 Win and I am in to the championship. My WRs have been providing very inconsistent play, and I have tough questions again this week. WRs are below along with the matchup, and the [3] defensive rank of opponent vs fantasy WRs (higher number = better matchup)

Need 3

Colston @ BAL [21st] Colston for sure
which 2 to start with him?

Austin v WAS [27th]
Bowe @ StL [23rd]
Holmes @ PIT [15]
Britt @ HOU [31st] probably

Britt has a great matchup and came back from his injury with a huge game last week. Austin is the #1 guy, but he has been woefully underperforming with Kitna under center. Still, another great matchup at home. Bowe has obviously been huge, but with Cassel a game-time decision, I am worried that he may be rusty after 2 weeks and/or get hit and pulled from the game. I can't afford to have Bowe lay an egg for a third week in a row. Brodie Croyle couldn't hit a bull in the arse with a handful of sand. Holmes on the road vs his old team, but Sanchez has been doing his best impression of Ryan Leaf the last few weeks, and I can see things getting ugly for the Jets in steeltown.

Do I even risk playing Bowe if Cassel is a go? Or roll with Colston, Britt and Austin? If I do start Bowe, sit Austin?

Thanks. Leave a link and WHIR.

as much as i'd like to recommend bowe, i don't think you can start him. even if cassel does play, he's not gonna be the same guy.

with the championship on the line, you def start britt for one slot. for the other, i guess you have to go with austin. sanchez can't be relied on to get holmes the ball. starting austin based on the opponent being in disarray isn't really a bad move.

help with my austin quandary.

I think you have to roll with Britt and Austin. Bowe is too much of a risk even if Cassel starts. Sanchez is playing too poorly to start Holmes. You have to like Britt's and Austin matchups vs weak D's.

Thanks for the help with mine.

I would go with britt and austin as well, but i could see bowe bouncing back with a good game.

I think Britt is the right play and I think Bowe will get back on track with Cassell!

If Cassel plays you HAVE to go with Bowe. He's due for a bounce back and he has a pretty good matchup (StL). Even if he does half of what he did in those games your still getting great production out of your WR3. Austin is too inconsistent and Holmes has a tough matchup.

I say Colsten, Britt and Bowe.

Help with either/both of mine?
