12 Team, NON-PPR League. Scoring is 25 passing yards = 1 pt, 10 rush/rec. yards = 1 pt, All TDs = 6 pts, Fum/Ints = -2 pts, Sacks = -0.25 pts, 5 pts at 300 yards passing, 5 pts at 100 yards rush/rec.
Due to injuries/ineffectiveness (Orton) and bad matchups (Fitzpatrick), I'm forced to go to the waiver wire for a QB in a crucial semifinal game this week. The best two options available ar Kitna vs Was and Collins vs Dal.
I feel like Kitna's the safer play, but my opponent starts Miles Austin and Jason Witten. Does this create an advantage or a disadvantage for me? I know it takes away a lot of Kitna's options, but it essentially makes TDs for two of his players completely meaningless, since Kitna will also be getting 6 pts. Meanwhile, Kitna can still throw TDs to other players.
On the flip side, If Kitna has a big game, it's almost a gaurantee that two of his players are going to have a big game.
Collins is by no means a safe play, but he is going up against a historically bad Houston Defense.
Given these facts, who would you start, Kitna or Collins?
Thanks in advance for the help. Post yours and I'll return the favor.
QB Romo & Cutler; RB: R Grant, R Mathews, F Jones, F Jackson. M Tolbert. & C Williams; WR/TE used as same: G Jennings, A Gates, M Austin, S Holmes, D Keller; Kicker: M Crosby. TD League-bonus-100 yds rushing, receiving, & 300 yard passing.
uh ya - not sure what that affects - if Kitna's TD passes out Miles Austin' TDs that doesn't hurt... and starting 2 receviers on the same team isn't exactly the best strategy IMO
