Kitna or Rodgers?

Postby cmehil » Fri Dec 24, 2010 7:17 pm

Kitna is playing Arizona's 24th ranked pass defense. Rodgers is playing Giants' 2nd ranked pass defense. Who to start?

I have both Kitna and Rodgers in my league, and I am playing for the championship this week and I plan to roll with Kitna.

I just don't trust Rodgers to finish the game, and I'm still pissed at Rodgers for only getting my 5pts in the first week of playoffs. He's lucky McFadden stepped up for me.

I am a bit concerned with Rodgers injury but more concerned with such a difference in opponents. Kitna can put up some good numbers but from what I've seen this season he can be a little hit and miss.

Ya that's kind of where I'm at too. I was faced with this same decision and am going with Rodgers.
I have a feeling Dallas just runs on Arizona (like every other team does). I could see big games from Jones and Choice, with Kitna not having to do a whole lot. Depending on how much fight Arizona puts up, Kitna could have quite day.
Whereas with Rodgers, anything they get will have to be through the air, they're at home, and it's a hold nothing back playoff game. He's obviously more of a risk though, so if you're in a situation where a mediocre game from your QB is all you feel you need, then maybe go with Kitna. I'm in a spot where my opponent looks to be pretty stacked, so I'm going Rodgers.

Yeah I think I'm going to go with Rodgers even though I'm projected to win by almost 20 points and am a Cowboys fan who hates the Packers.

IMO, you have to go with Rodgers. Like Maris said, this is a win or go home game for the Packers and everything that the Packers get will end up going through Rodgers. Also, the Giants "second" ranked pass defense is a bit skewed. They have played against 6 different back up QBs after knocking out the starter. What pass defense isn't going to look good when you play against 6 backups?

I went with Kitna and now I am almost 33 points out. (with McCoy and White left to play...) I've still got a prayer. Anyone else who took Kitna survive?

Started Kitna over Cutler and Flacco in one league and I am up by 11 with Colston + Turner and he has McCoy and his defense. Here's to me pulling out a close one ;-D
