2009 CJ had right around 400 touches and he was the #1 RB in the league. However, that many touches takes a toll on the body and his numbers this year reflect this. This year he was at about 350 touches and should come back to numbers closer to his 09 numbers next year.
This year, Foster had 392 touches (over 400 if you count the passes that went his way that were incomplete where he was still open to recieve a hit) and you can bet money that his numbers will slip a good bit next season (this is a trend that has been upheld thoughout the past 20+ years with only one exception, LT ONCE didn't slip back significantly).
Now, with Foster counting as a 2nd rnd pick and CJ counting as a 3rd rnd pick, I'd DEFINITELY take CJ in the 3rd over Foster in the 2nd and even more so when you consider what affect having so many touches this season will have on him next season.
This aint a NYC auto garage, if it aint broke, dont fix it.
12 team redraft: Rivers (Q1), CJ (R1), McFadden (R2), B Wells (R3), Caddy (R4), Forsett (R5), AJ (W1), Fitz (W2), Royal (W3), Sims-Walker (W4), V Jax (W5), V Davis (T1), Kaeding (K1), Jets (D1)
I agree with taking CJ but have a question.... when do you pick in your drafts 1st round?
If you pick 2nd, you might want to keep Foster and hope that CJ is there at pick 2.
Even if he picked 2nd I'd still keep CJ and take Foster with the #2 pick if he's there. Again, it's all moot because he picks 7th and neither will be there at that pick. Also, he SHOULD be able to keep CJ as his NEXT years keeper if he wants but Foster will most likely go back into the fold seeing as he's a 2nd rnd pick.

That's correct, keepers move up 2 draft spots every year, so CJ could be my 1st round keeper in 2012, which if I end up picking lower down could be good value. I would not be able to keep Foster past 2011.
I would keep CJ to get that extra year as a keeper. Also, it's somewhat comforting to hear him finally admit that he was actually hurt most of the season. That gives some peace of mind for next year.
