Colts release Bob Sanders

No surprise here:

Since Sanders signed a five-year, $37.5 million extension in 2007 after becoming the first Colts player to be selected Defensive Player of the Year, knee and biceps injuries limited him to nine regular-season appearances over the past three seasons.

and the Chargers have picked him up. Best of luck to Bob. I really hope, though, that he doesn't suddenly turn from glass into steel. We might run into the bolts in January 2012.
