My son has to write a paper on the protests as the funerals of our military people who have died in combat.
Please leave any comments you choose to after voting. Thanks
You could think of government workers like teenagers. You pay them an allowance, but do you get any work out them? They eat the food, put their feet on the furniture and complain loudly whenever they are unhappy.
I'm not voting, because I'm really not sure how I feel, but I guess in the end our Constitution allows for free speech and to silence them would be to violate the rights I fight for.
However, these idiots are misguided. Protesting against the war at a funeral of a hero, who sacrificed family, liberties, and ultimately his/her life; that does nothing but hurt the families of the deceased and shows complete disrespect for the individual. They need to find a better way to protest their anti-war sentiments.

Litz, they aren't protesting against war...
Personally, I do agree it was legally right. Morally and ethically, probably not. Nonetheless, this is a great way to deal with the protests.

They're protesting gays in the military, a local radio station did a bit on them and sold T-Shirts that said "God Hates Douchebags". I got one.
They should be allowed to protest but this is not the place to do it. If you have a problem with Gays then so be it, I do to but this is not where you speak your mind.
Gays should be allowed in the military. The front line is the perfect place for them. It'll scare em straight

They are protesting that gays can openly serve in the military at a funeral for a Soldier who died in combat? How dumb is that? At least protesting the war at a funeral makes a little sense, however misguided it might be. The Soldier died at war; no war = no dead Soldier. But protesting gays in the military at a funeral? Imbecillic.

Funerals should be left to the family/friends/colleagues to mourn and show last respects. Prostesting at one is in poor taste IMHO. Unfortunately, good taste seems to have gone extinct sometime in the 20th century. Judging by the 70's, I'm guessing it went extinct in the 60's at the very latest.
