I was afraid we would never find out what happened to him, and for decades have people claim they had recently seen him and things like that (kind of like Elvis). But it's now being reported that Osama bin Laden has been killed in Pakistan. I'm not one to celebrate the death of another human being, but in this case I think I'll make an exception!

It sure seems like they disposed of the body fast. I'm not a conspiracy-minded person, but it seemed like they killed him then fed his corpse to the crabs and sharks in a hurry. I read that it's a Muslim custom to lay the body to rest - in whatever way - within 24 hours, and that there was concern that no country would be willing to inter it. Either way, good riddance.

I'm glad they didn't just capture him and throw him in a prison. While he may have coughed up secrets, he may also have become the A#1 ransom order in the world. Not that he hasn't become a martyr now for some extremist groups, but I have to think dead bin laden > live bin laden.
