I through this out there and got a couple quick replies agreeing so I hope Flots and Dream don't mind if I throw up a poll.

Does anyone have an issue with starting FA before our usual late August start time?

I just find it strange that in a seasoned league with knowledgeable owners we let camps and preseason play out before allowing any pickups. Starting RB blows his knee in the first preseason game, #1 WW gets a gift 4 weeks later.

We open the wire now and owners have a choice as camp plays out on how to spend their priority.

Just my opinion.

I don't know how Flots and Dream want to do the logistics of it. There are several variations but personally I just like an open wire all the time. It is a dynasty league after all.

I voted for "immediately", but I would prefer to keep it a weekly waiver process if it's not too much administrative hassle.

I would gladly open this up prior to camps, but only if we have league page set up and I get an invite. It never fails that Fleaflicker doesn't recognize me from one year to another. I can't access the league page (hence drafted only rookies)

Why didn't you tell me earlier! The league page is already set on fleaflicker. Do you need me to send you another invite? I'd have to remove you from the league and then invite you again. Please let me know...and if so, please PM me your email address again.

I was finally able to enter league home page. FleaFlicker/AOL has always given me a hard time. Lack of usage, I suppose.

I talked to dream and we both agree with bungle.

So the plan is to open up the FA/WW early this year, and then in future years, the FA/WW would open up 1 week after the rookie draft ends. I know we have a 7-0 vote on the original poll, but we'll need EVERYONE to post their vote again after this post. dream & I want to make sure that everyone knows about this, and assuming this rule change passes, we'll open up the FA/WW one week after the 12th person posts their opinion.

I couldn't figure out how to open up the WW early of fleaflicker so I'll PM Cappy & thrifty. They co-commish 2 of my dynasty leagues. Both leagues are on fleaflicker & both leagues opened the WW up early.


I'm OK with early FA/WW this year & future years 1 week after the rookie draft ends.
