That's impressive man. My mother ran a marathon several years ago (you'll be glad to know you beat her by a half hour), and I remember her walking down the stairs backwards for a day or two after cause of the soreness. Screw all that.
I uh... I got out of bed before noon today, so that's good, right?
Well done guys, especially NFL! A marathon was my goal years ago and then my knees reminded me of my age. Track and growing up on a farm have taken their toll. However, since working out pretty hard for a couple years I've noticed the joint pain is few and far between so I'm considering giving at least casual jogging a go. Why? Because I joined a softball team and running the bases kills me. I didn't know if I'd be fast anymore, but I guess I still got some wheels. However, after the 3rd inning or running around the bases a couple times, my hammies and quads just want to quit on me. It's a different kind of workout for them than the leg exercises they've become accustomed to so I need to get back at it at least a little bit. After the first game I was serious sore for 3 days. And it's not like I ran that much.
Been a while since I showed my ugly grill in here, and truth be told I miss you guys. Rob, other Rob, other other Rob, Bunnykiller, Flashlight Boy (thought puberty was a pre-req for being modded, but what do I know), been too long you guys, and I hope you and yours are well.
To get back on topic before I get clubbed with Flashight 11,317B (yes m16a, I'm talking to you..our boy's becoming a man...<sniff>)
In my absence I've...
- Become a member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association - Been published twice in nationally syndicated magazines circulated by Fantasy Sports Publications Inc., who does more of that sorta thing than anyone else (or so the man said when he hired me). - Been hired by Fantasy Sharks (no link, so let's just everyone step away from the big red button) as an IDP staff writer. Decided when I "left" (if that's what you wanna call it...at this point I got no ill will) that if I wanted to write about FF it was better to be a bigger fish in a smaller pond (IDP) than just another minnow in the ocean, and apparently I chose wisely. - Just got hired to do weekend College Football, NFL, and Fantasy Football Commentary for Bleacher Report (once again. no link, so get away from the damn button )
When I joined this site in 2004 I was a FF N00b looking for help in setting my lineup that week. Now it appears that I've become a professional writer whose job this Sunday will be to sit in front of his computer, watch Sunday Ticket, have a few beers, bang out a few keystrokes, and get paid for it.
Honestly, how f*****g cool is that?
To all you wannabe FF writers out there....it can be done. Just go do it.
Oh, by the way....
Lynch Me. I don't care.

Dude, that's some really impressive stuff. It's really cool to see that it can be done and see your dream realized. Congrats on things going your way like that. Don't forget your roots and swing by to say hello now and then. Perhaps we'll get to see you writing for CBS or NFL at some point.
Oh, and just for the jabs... vote=kilroy

Glad to see things are working for you Kilroy
Glad to see you are still alive h0rt
Glad to see you made it out of the basketball side red
As for me - I am coaching each my sons soccer teams this year. We are starting off the season on the right foot the oldest is 1-1-1 while the youngest is 1-0-0. I think both have a pretty good team so they should both do very well. I've always wanted to coach youth sports and I'm having a blast so far.
