What is Tim Tebow's Keeper Value?

I picked up Tim Tebow just because he was Tim Tebow towards the end of the last season. Over weeks 15-17 he racked up 200 yards rushing and 84 points in a standard league. He even won me my just for shits w friends league. The other league I have him in is a keeper, and he'll be soon getting cut or traded.

Which brings me to my question, can Tim Tebow survive as a poor man's Michael Vick? Because he's built like a linebacker, can he hold up? What are the odds that he becomes a top 5, 3, or 1 QB?

Outside of dynasties and very very deep keeper leagues, there's no way that I would consider Tebow a keeper going into 2011.

Long term? The sample size is just too small to be able to gauge what his career ceiling really is, IMHO. He very well could become a very good NFL QB... if he can continue to run in some TDs as well, his ceiling is pretty high. He's certainly worth a shot during the FA draft to see if he can make a leap forward in his 2nd year (that is, if Orton does indeed get traded... no sure thing yet).

It's a relatively deep keeper. 12 teams, 10 keepers, 18 roster spots. I've read John Fox's regime will hurt him, but couldn't the run oriented offense he'll bring to town help him?

If he starts he'll be a top 10 QB, maybe top 5. The question is if he can win enough games to convince the Broncos he's a longterm starter. That's why he's not a top 10 keeper QB.

They ain't running the wishbone, so a run oriented pro-style offense will not help him. A McDaniels' style spread would help him.

He's probably worth keeping in your league. He's not a top 150 player in redraft but the small chance for long term eliteness vaults him over the trash that usually goes ahead of him in the 13th/14th/15th rounds

I am keeping a close eye on this situation as well, I am considering keeping Kyle Orton. Why would you change that offense, if they had any sort of D they'd would have made the playoffs.

Orton might get traded to a team like Arizona or Minny who needs a QB. If either of those teams got Orton they would instantly become playoff contenders.
