Rookie QB's

Rank em for dynasty league potential. Seems to be a real big crap shoot with QB's this year.

Newton
Gabbert
Locker
Ponder
Kaepernick
Dalton

First year, Newton is out of the mix. As an Auburn fan it's hard to say this, but I don't have any faith in his pro career.

The 49ers, Titans, and Vikings probably have the best team surrounding a rookie QB, but I think it's really too hard to rate overall keeper performances with this lot.

that being said, I'm not really high on any of them. And I agree that it's a crapshoot. Hell, Mallett could end up being the best fantasy QB of all of them somewhere down the road.

So everyone is having the same issue. Can any of these guys be any good at all? They all have as much bust potential as break out potential and I need a QB.

Long-term, I like Gabbert best as I think he has all the tools.

If you need production over the next 1-3 years, I would choose Ponder... nice weapons (assuming Rice re-signs) and, per several scouts, the most "pro-ready" QB in the 2011 draft after playing a in pro-style system at FSU. But I think Gabbert has the higher ceiling long-term.

Newton is a guy that I will let someone else draft.

I like Gabbert, Ponder, Newton. Panthers need WR to rank Newton first.
