This is my wife's team/dilemma. We are in a 2 man keeper 12 team league, but you can only keep one of your two keepers from the previous year.
Her keepers last year were Gore and Mendenhall so she can only keep one of these guys, not that she would chose either over Foster. She is leaning towards keeping Foster and Mendenhall.
This is a custom scoring league with 2 pts for 5 receptions (no partial points) 1pt 10yds rushing/receiving 6pt TDs .
Her QB/RBs/WRs are Rivers, Foster, Gore, Mendenhall, Ricky & Carnell Williams, Dez, LLoyd, Boldin, Morgan, Obomanu.
As much as I love Gore, I'd go with Mendenhall and Foster also. Venom's concerns about Gore are accurate. He has missed time in all but one of his seasons since entrance into the league in '06. Foster for the obvious reason of him being the beast he was last year, and the potential to do so this year given that Houston's offense continues to be amazing. Schaub to AJ is fun to watch.
As for Mendenhall, he's a young, steady as she goes RB that gets the bulk of carries on a ball control team. Gotta love that for fantasy football.

It has to be Foster and Mendy for me too - hard to let go of Gore because of the name and track record, but the injury history and situation alone dictate he's gotta be the odd man out IMO ...
Mendenhall's defensive schedule this year is non-existent. Other than the Ravens, I think every D is in the bottom third of the league with a few in the basement. Mendy with a nice big Fosters!
I'll post mine next month after FA is over (I hope). Mine won't be so cut and dry. My team was an expansion team in this league 2 years ago so I have been kind of locked out of the elite players.
