1 - Rosters

1.A - Roster Size

Rosters for the 2011 season will consist of 25 players. This will expand to 30 in 2012. From that point on, polls will be held to decide whether to expand to more, or remain at 30.

1.B - Starting Lineups

  • 1 QB
  • 2 RB
  • 2 WR
  • 1 RB/WR
  • 1 RB/WR/TE
  • TE
  • D/ST
1.C - Positional Limits

There are no limits at all for how many offensive skill position players you can have on your roster.

However, you may only have a maximum of two Team Defense. This is to ensure at least some scope to use the waiver wire strategy for that position.

2 - Scoring

Full details on the scoring rules can be found on the flea flicker site.

3 - League Rules

3.A - Waivers

Waivers will be blind bid with $100 budgets. They will be run every week post-draft as well as during the season.

3.B - Schedule

Every team will face each other once for a total of 13 games to be played in weeks 1-13. The schedule will be randomly selected by flea flicker.

3.C - Playoffs

Playoffs will be 6 teams with the top two regular season teams receiving first round byes. They will be held in weeks 14-16.

3.D - Tiebreakers

Regular season ties will not be broken.

Playoff ties will use the following order:

  • Most total starter Combined TDs
  • Highest individual starter score
  • Higher bench points total
League standings ties will use the following order:

  • Most average points/game
  • Best head-to-head record
  • Best division record (same division only)
  • Hardest schedule (points)
  • Hardest schedule (record)
3.E - Trades

Trades will be commissioner veto only. Since it's a guarantee everyone in this league knows what they are doing and have an upstanding reputation, not a single trade is expected to be vetoed for either lopsidedness or cheating/collusion. The 24 hour trade review period is merely a formality.

The trading deadline is Week 10.

4 - Draft

4.A - 2011 Inaugural Draft

To begin with, the draft will be slow style on the Cafe. The order will be 3 Round Reverse snake style. This means the order will be as such:

  1. 1-14
  2. 14-1
  3. 14-1
  4. 1-14
  5. 14-1
  6. 1-14 etc.

For the first 10 rounds there will be a 24 hour clock. However, starting round 11 the clock will be reduced to 12 hours.

Furthermore, in the event we are running out of time we will finish via live draft on Flea Flicker.

  • If we have not finished by September 1st, we will complete the round in progress and we will discontinue the slow draft
  • We will then hold a live draft on Flea Flicker on September 4th at 9PM Eastern.
  • The first game of the season then starts September 8th.
Both Rookies and Veterans will be available. There won't be two seperate drafts

Players and picks may be traded during the draft, but please do not sit on a pick you wish to trade down from for too long.

If the clock expires on a pick, the next owner up may make his pick. It is every owners responsibility to make their pick in time, otherwise they will be passed over and have to make their pick with what is left available.

4.B - Annual Rookie Drafts

Rookie Drafts will be 5 rounds long with 24 hour clocks.

The draft order will be the previous season's standings in reverse order. Team's that made the playoffs will be sorted by which position they came, but consolation playoffs will have no bearing on the draft order.

Drafts will be rookie only. Any FAs or remain undrafted rookies will have to be bid on in off-season waivers.

5 - Miscellaneous

5.A - Rule Changes

In subsequent off-season there will be scope to change rules (as long as they don't betray the concept of the league).

Prospective rule changes should be brought in the League Discussion thread. If there appears to be interest from multiple people a poll will be held at the Commissioner's discretion.

For a rule change to pass, it needs at least 10 out of 14 votes.

Rule changes that do not pass may be brought up again in following years.
