Ok this is for a 16 team, H2H Points, 4 Keepers (1 must be IDP the other 3 any). Other thing to note it is .5 PPR. The draft for this league is currently going in as a offline snake draft draft where trading pick is allowed.
Here is the trade: Send Andre Johnson, Hou WR from WR to Buccaneers Send Owen Daniels, Hou TE from TE to Buccaneers Send Barrett Ruud, TB LB from LB to Buccaneers Send 24th Round Draft Pick (382nd Overall) to Buccaneers Receive Braylon Edwards, NYJ WR from Buccaneers to Bench Receive Dallas Clark, Ind TE from Buccaneers to Bench Receive Stephen Tulloch, Ten LB from Buccaneers to Bench Receive 21st Round Draft Pick (333rd Overall) from Buccaneers
Is this worth considering? I would get Clark who is arguably the #2 overall TE and it is PPR so he should get plenty of receptions, and would be getting a better LB in Tulloch. The problem is I have Steve Smith (Car) but who knows where he will end up and Braylon Edwards has done horrible with the Jets but if he could get into a good system and stay out of trouble then he could really produce. And I would lose Andre who is the number #1 overall WR. What should I do?
Here is my roster currently: QB Matthew Stafford, Det QB RB Jonathan Stewart, Car RB RB Mark Ingram, NO RB WR Andre Johnson, Hou WR WR Vincent Jackson, SD WR TE Owen Daniels, Hou TE DT Ahtyba Rubin, Cle DT DE Jason Babin, Ten DE LB Barrett Ruud, TB LB LB James Anderson, Car LB CB Ronde Barber, TB CB S LaRon Landry, WSH S D/ST Packers D/ST D/ST K BE LaDainian Tomlinson, NYJ RB BE Matt Cassel, KC QB BE Steve Smith, Car WR BE Cadillac Williams, TB RB BE Bradie James, Dal LB BE Calais Campbell, Ari DE 5 other bench spots 3 IR spots
Sure, the upgrade from Daniels to Clark is a good one, but the draft pick upgrade that late is just about a non-factor. I have Tulloch and Ruud in the same tier, Tulloch close to the top and Ruud near the bottom, but still not that great of a difference in overall fantasy production.
Andre Johnson is the #1 WR in ALL formats. You are essentially trading him and Daniels for Braylon and Clark. The TE upgrade isn't even close to making up the difference.

Andre Johnson is THE #1 WR right now, and arguably could be the #5 player picked in any re-draft league. So would you trade your #5 pick overall for Edwards and Clark? Not me, no way do I trade AJ for that. Braylon Edwards was second on the Jets for receptions last year, below Dustin Keller (who I beleive will lead the Jets in receptions again this year). And that was with Santonio Holmes out for the first few weeks. Clark is a good TE, and I have him ranked #3 overall for TE's and probably just above Daniels. To give up AJ for IMHO a 3rd option WR, a second option TE, and a possible upgrade at LB is not worth it.
Your team looks very strong and has a solid chance of winning in 2011. I wouldn't trade away your elite talent in Andre Johnson just to balance your roster. That would provide a more equal spread of production, but weaken your team overall. Hold on to your talent, and good luck in 2011.
No way. If your gonna trade Andre Johnson you can do much better IMO. Owen Daniels is going to have a pretty big year anyway, and AJ & VJ are cogs in your WR core. If you trade AJ it needs to be either to put Stafford on your bench, and getting a top 5 QB in return, or some sort of package where there was a massive QB upgrade, even a guy like Romo. Or you went after an elite RB to upgrade Ingram to an elite back. Relying on Stafford could be risky because you should produce elsewhere.
