Keeper Help (Money League)

Postby Pitfan2782 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 11:46 am

10 team, PPR, 6pt TD

Got the last pick since I won it last season. We can keep 3. I'm keeping Foster, but I need help with the other two:

Rd1 A. Johnson
Rd2 R. White
Rd3 P. Rivers
Rd4 L. McCoy
Rd5 A. Foster *

Didn't get any late round gems. Thinking Foster, McCoy, and Johnson, and drafting a QB in the 1st or 3rd, with a receiver in the other round. What do you guys think?

Definitely keep Foster and McCoy.

I think you're right to keep Andre also - but do you lose draft picks in the same round for guys, or what? That can change things.

If I keep Foster, I lose my 5th. McCoy would cost me my 4th. Is that what you mean?

Welcome to the Cafe!

You don't need late round gems when you drafted that well last year!

I think you have the correct three. Foster is indeed a no-brainer. McCoy for a 4th round pick in a PPR league is a no-brainer as well. Andre for the 1.10 is good value as well.

Can you make trades? Can you move White and/or Rivers for draft picks? If you can get something for either/both, I would do it.

Yep. If that is the case, you probably still keep Andre. But Rivers becomes a consideration depending on how your leaguemates draft. I have one league where everyone is QB-happy, so you gotta go early or get hung out to dry. In that case, I would keep Rivers.

If it's normal, I probably keep Andre at 1.10

Thanks, glad to be here!

This league is pretty normal when it comes to QBs. Rodgers, Manning, and Brees will be gone in the first 2 rounds, then the rest will vary for the following 3-4 rounds. I think I'm going to stay with Johnson, McCoy, and Foster. If White gets taken in the first round, I'll get another top fligt WR in the second. If Manning or Brees lands to me, I may go that route and pick a receiver in the 3rd. I have a month to think about it, but thanks for the advice!

You gotta keep your best 3 players, so I'm along with the vote for Foster, McCoy and Johnson as well.

Agreed, though I'd certainly be trying to move at least Roddy if at all possible ;-D

In my view, Foster and A Johnson are absolute locks.

Unlike everybody else, I see Roddy and McCoy as a dead heat. Perhaps that is because I see McCoy as a tiny bit overrated and Roddy as a tiny bit underrated. I see Matt Ryan gradually getting better and better. As his chemistry with Roddy is solid, I think the upside for it to get even better is there. Meanwhile, Vick silenced all of his doubters last year, ....but how many of us would be shocked to see that offense suffer a setback or two during his sophomore year out of the slammer. I'll go with Roddy by a nose whisker.

He's getting Mccoy as a 4th rounder though.
