I'm in a 12-team 1/2 PPR keepr IDP League. 6 Pts All TDs, 1 pt every 25 yds passing and 10 rush/rec. We can keep a maximum of 3 players. If you keep 3, one must be an IDP. If you keep a player, you forfeit the round he was drafted in (ie Megatron was a 1st round pick, so I'd lose my first rounder if I kept him). If you keep a Free Agent, you forfeit a 5th rounder. If you keep 2 FAs you forfeit a 5th and 10th round pick. You can only keep a player for 2 years.
In looking at my roster, it wasn't strong in 2010. A lot of big names are coming back into the draft pool: Aaron Rogers, Chris Johnson, MJD and DeAngelo Williams to name a few. I am thinking about Megatron and Sam Bradford (who was FA, so 5th round pick). Obviously I am waiting until the lockout ends and FA is done to seriously consider things, but I wanted to get an idea of what people think. Oh and I have the 7th pick in the draft.
WHIR gladly.

Yup, post up your team for the best possible advice but if you are looking at those 3 options I would throw them all back and keep your 1st rounder. You should easily be able to get Bradford back later than the 5th so no need to keep him.
I apologize, I thought it was in my signature. It's just in my profile.
My team is below:
QB Flacco (5th) QB Bradford (Free Agent) RB Moreno (2nd) RB Forte (unable to keep) RB Fred Jackson (Free Agent) RB Rashad Jennings (Free Agent) WR Megatron (1st) WR Amendola (Free Agent) WR Knox (7th) WR Jacoby Ford (Free Agent) WR Mike Thomas (Free Agent) TE Kevin Boss (Free Agent) TE Moeaki (Free Agent) K Tynes (Free Agent) DL Haloti Ngata (Free Agent) LB DJ Williams (9th) DB Tyvon Branch (12th) DP Paris Lenon (Free Agent)
If I keep a player I drafted, I lose the round I drafted him in (i.e. I forfeit my 1st round pick if I keep Megatron). If I keep 1 free agent, I lose a 5th round pick. If I keep 2 free agents, I lose a 5th and 10th round pick. If I keep a free agent and a player I draft in Round 5, then I lose my 4th and 5th round picks.

Depending on the round cost of Forte I could see him being a keeper. In a .5 PPR Megatron is a good keeper, but with the first round price tag he isn't a bargain.
I think the only guy I'd keep might be Forte. 3rd round or later? Even 2nd round with 0.5 ppr.
I would then look at this: You have the 7th pick. Who are the best 7 guys available? If you would rather have any one of them, throw back Calvin. If not, keep Calvin.

At the 7th pick, the guys I'd take over him (Aaron Rogers, CJ28, MJD) will probably be gone. So Megatron will probably be the best player available.
The other player I was considering keeping was Bradford. The top 7 QBs will either be kept or gone by round 3, so I figure he's my best bet.
Keeping Bradford is a poor decision (and I obviously really like him haha) purely because you should be able to get him after the 5th round. Even if you take him in the 6th...not keeping him gave you more value.
If Calvin would be the best pick anytime at or before your 1st rounder, it makes sense to keep him instead of keeping your first rounder. I would consider keeping Knox, depending on how late you got him.

I don't see any real good values here... if you pick 7th and are pretty sure that Calvin is easily the best player available, you should keep him. It's not great value, but it's better than throwing him back and having him selected at pick 5 or 6, leaving you with lesser talent to choose from at the 1.07.
Maybe we could give you a clearer answer, in regards to value, if you edit your 2nd post and list what round you would have to give up to keep a player.
