Cedric Benson + Draft Picks for Peyton Hillis

Postby danielgreen091 » Wed Jul 20, 2011 4:18 pm

In my 12 team dynasty league I have been offered

Cedric Benson
2012 1st round rookie (from a VERY good team. Will be a late 1st)
2012 1st round rookie (from a decent team. Will probably be mid-early 1st)

for
Peyton Hillis
2012 2nd round rookie (from a below average team)

My Team

QB
Schaub
Eli Manning
Colt McCoy
Cam Newton

RB
Bradshaw
Brandon Jacobs
DeMarco Murray
Steve Slaton
Noel Devine
Steven Ridley

WRs
Miles Austin
Wes Welker
Jeremy Maclin
Steve Smith NYG
Donnie Avery
Early Doucet
Jerome Simpson
Robert Meachem

TEs
Dallas Clark
Rob Gronkowski
Greg Olsen

I already have 3 first round picks in both the 2012 and 2013 drafts.

If I wanted to I could get Spiller instead of Benson. WHIR. Leave a link.

I'd swap Benson for Spiller and take this trade.

Perfect example of a great dynasty league trade. Sell high on Hillis now and buy low on a younger Spiller...and add 2 more 1st round rookie picks in the process.

I'd do it ;-D

Agreed. I am not a HIllis believer over the long term. Love how he plays football but teh style does not hold well for durability. Spiller showed very little last year but is a very nice buy low. You need to rebuild a RB corps for your team anyways, may as well try it in 2012.

I highly doubt Hillis will repeat on 2010. I had him last year off the WW and loved him but with Hardesty back it could eat into his production. I feel if you could build for then future now and then capitalize on those 1st rounders you might have a dyanaty where you are a threat to win several years in a row.

I did also have Spiller last year and he flooped miserably. I still think he has to unseat Fred to get more carries and he didnt capitalize on the carries he got.

Plus the Bills drafted Johnny White who I am high on. I think it will be Spiller+White sharing carries eventually.

Perfectly said. Definitely try and grab Spiller. You get younger, get an upside guy in Spiller, deal away a sell high candidate in Hillis, and you gear your team towards rebuilding and getting your squad younger, which is definitely what you should be aiming to do. That's a good combo of young RBs to hopefully pan out down the road. Good luck. ;-D
