I hadn't seen Joe Bungo's 2009 article until recently, but he does a nice job of summing up why you should use a blind bidding system as your method to allocate free agents and availalbe players in your league.

I haven't tried out blind-bidding before and I'm hoping to find a league that uses it for this season.

That article, though, seems to list the arguments against blind-bidding, not for it.
